Official Rules & Player Guidelines
Welcome to 4Return. These rules exist to protect fair gameplay, maintain a competitive environment and ensure that the community remains enjoyable for everyone.
By creating or using a 4Return account, you agree to follow these rules across the game and official 4Return platforms. They apply to all players regardless of rank, guild, spending history or relationship with the team.
§1 Fair Play Comes First
- 1.1Every player is expected to compete honestly. Deliberately exploiting other players, manipulating game systems or attempting to gain an unfair advantage is prohibited.
- 1.2Using cheats, unauthorized third-party tools, modified clients or software that interferes with the game is forbidden.
- 1.3If you discover a bug that can affect gameplay, progression, rewards or the economy, report it to the team. Repeatedly exploiting a known issue instead of reporting it may result in penalties.
- 1.4Do not conceal, distribute or demonstrate methods for abusing serious bugs. Sharing an exploit with other players does not make its use acceptable.
- 1.5Automated gameplay is prohibited when it performs actions that should be completed by a player, including automated farming, combat or reward collection. Ordinary hardware or accessibility features are not automatically violations; the decisive factor is whether they automate gameplay or provide an unfair advantage.
- 1.6Do not deliberately disconnect, manipulate your connection or use other tricks to escape a fight, avoid a defeat or interfere with the outcome of an activity.
- 1.7Attempts to bypass a restriction by using another account, device or identity may result in additional penalties.
§2 Behaviour and Community Standards
- 2.1Disagreements are part of a competitive game. Harassment, targeted abuse, threats, discriminatory remarks and persistent personal attacks are not.
- 2.2Flooding chats, repeatedly posting unwanted messages, excessive begging or deliberately disrupting conversations may lead to chat restrictions.
- 2.3Do not impersonate another player, a member of the 4Return team or an official representative. This includes using misleading names or pretending to have staff authority.
- 2.4Advertising unrelated services, other servers or commercial offers without permission is prohibited on official 4Return platforms.
- 2.5Content intended to threaten, expose private information, encourage harassment or disrupt the community may be removed and may result in further action.
- 2.6You are responsible for messages and actions performed through your account. Allowing another person to use your account does not exempt you from the consequences of violations committed through it.
§3 Accounts and Access Security
- 3.1Keep your login credentials private. Official team members will not ask you to disclose your password or security credentials.
- 3.2Account sharing is at your own risk. The team cannot guarantee recovery of items, currency or progress lost because another person was given access.
- 3.3You may use multiple accounts only when doing so does not violate these rules or manipulate gameplay, rewards, rankings or other systems.
- 3.4Using alternate accounts to evade a ban, conceal prohibited activity or obtain rewards that would otherwise be unavailable is forbidden.
- 3.5Buying, selling, renting or exchanging 4Return accounts is not permitted unless the team explicitly introduces an official transfer system.
- 3.6Do not attempt to access another player's account, obtain their credentials or use account information that you were not authorized to access.
- 3.7Recovery requests must be handled through the official support process. The team may request reasonable information to verify ownership but will not guarantee recovery where ownership cannot be established.
§4 Trading, Currency and the In-Game Economy
- 4.1Trades must be genuine exchanges between players. Deception involving items, currency, upgrade services or promised payments is prohibited.
- 4.2Check the items and amounts involved before confirming a trade. The team may decline compensation for voluntary trades, loans or deals arranged outside protected game systems.
- 4.3Do not manipulate prices or rewards through coordinated abuse, fabricated transactions or other methods intended to damage the in-game economy.
- 4.4Farming or transferring rewards through secondary accounts is prohibited when the purpose is to bypass intended limits, multiply restricted rewards or create an unfair advantage.
- 4.5Real-money trading is forbidden. This includes selling or buying in-game currency, items, accounts, services or other game assets for real money or anything of real-world value.
- 4.6Exchanging 4Return assets for assets from another game or private server is also prohibited when it constitutes an external-value trade.
- 4.7Do not use intermediaries to disguise a prohibited transaction. Both the buyer and seller may be penalized, as may other participants who knowingly facilitate the deal.
- 4.8Items or currency confirmed to have been obtained through prohibited trading or abuse may be removed. Additional account restrictions may apply.
- 4.9Report suspicious transactions through official support. Do not publish private accusations or attempt to punish suspected offenders yourself.
§5 PvP, Battle Modes and Competitive Integrity
Fair competition is central to 4Return. The following rules apply to ordinary PvP, team-based modes, rankings and competitive events.
- 5.1Participate in a mode with the intention of playing it properly. Remaining inactive to collect rewards, deliberately sabotaging your team or repeatedly obstructing objectives is prohibited.
- 5.2Deliberately feeding kills, exchanging kills with opponents or arranging matches to manipulate points, rankings or rewards is forbidden.
- 5.3Do not cooperate with opposing players or teams when that cooperation gives an unfair advantage or contradicts the intended rules of the mode.
- 5.4Using a bug, unauthorized program or unintended mechanic to influence a fight or match is prohibited, even if the same method is being used by other players.
- 5.5Leaving a match, manipulating a connection or exploiting a game mechanic to reset a cooldown or avoid an unfavorable result may be treated as competitive manipulation.
- 5.6Do not exploit matchmaking, team selection or participation rules to manufacture easy wins or prevent other players from competing fairly.
- 5.7Repeatedly targeting, obstructing or abandoning teammates for the purpose of ruining their match may be treated as deliberate disruption. Normal tactical decisions and legitimate focus on an opponent are not, by themselves, violations.
- 5.8Event-specific instructions take priority for the duration of an event when they explain or supplement these general rules. Organizers may remove participants who disrupt an event or refuse to follow its announced conditions.
- 5.9The team may remove illegitimate points, rewards or rankings obtained through manipulation, in addition to applying account or mode restrictions.
§6 Tournaments and Special Competitions
- 6.1Each tournament announcement defines its format, eligibility requirements, registration process and reward conditions. Players are responsible for reviewing these details before entering.
- 6.2Do not register multiple characters or accounts to the same competition where the announcement permits only one entry per player.
- 6.3Do not arrange results, deliberately lose, transfer victories or cooperate with opponents to influence tournament standings.
- 6.4Exploiting tournament mechanics, bypassing eligibility requirements or attempting to manipulate the bracket may lead to disqualification.
- 6.5Tournament rewards belong to the eligible winner under the conditions announced for that competition. Attempts to transfer, share or obtain rewards through an unauthorized workaround may result in their removal.
- 6.6The team may review disputed results using available evidence and tournament records. A result will not be changed solely because a participant is unhappy with the outcome.
- 6.7Where a technical issue affects a competition, the team may restart, postpone, cancel or otherwise adjust the event to preserve fairness. Any adjustment will depend on the circumstances.
§7 Guilds, Groups and Organized Play
- 7.1Guilds and groups are subject to the same standards as individual players. Being part of a guild does not excuse misconduct.
- 7.2Guild names, tags and descriptions must not contain prohibited advertising, impersonation, harassment or discriminatory content.
- 7.3Guild leaders are encouraged to address disruptive behaviour within their groups. However, individual members remain responsible for their own actions.
- 7.4Organizing a group to exploit rewards, manipulate PvP outcomes, harass another guild or coordinate prohibited transactions may result in action against the participants involved.
- 7.5No guild or player is entitled to special treatment because of their popularity, competitive results, donations or relationship with the team.
§8 Character Names and Public Identity
- 8.1Character names must be appropriate for the community and must not be designed to harass, threaten or deceive other players.
- 8.2Names that imitate staff identities or are intended to make players believe an account is official are prohibited.
- 8.3Names used to advertise unrelated products, services or other servers may be changed or restricted.
- 8.4The team may require a name change if a name violates these rules, even if it was originally accepted by the game system.
§9 The 4Return Team and Support
- 9.1Official support requests must be submitted through the designated 4Return ticket system or another channel explicitly announced by the team.
- 9.2Include the relevant character name, a clear description of the issue and any useful evidence. For video reports, indicate the approximate time of the incident.
- 9.3Do not edit evidence in a way that changes its meaning. If a clip or screenshot is cropped for clarity, retain the original when possible.
- 9.4Public accusations are not a substitute for a report. Do not publish private information or attempt to organize harassment against a suspected offender.
- 9.5Reports are reviewed according to the available information. Submitting a report does not entitle you to confidential details about another player's account or any penalty they receive.
- 9.6False reports, fabricated evidence and deliberate attempts to mislead support may themselves result in penalties.
- 9.7Do not impersonate support staff or claim that a team member has approved something when no such approval exists.
- 9.8Follow reasonable instructions from authorized team members when they are handling a live incident or event. If you believe an instruction was improper, raise the concern through the appropriate support channel.
- 9.9Staff members must not use their position to provide unauthorized advantages. Suspected misconduct by a team member should be reported to a higher-ranking administrator through an official channel.
§10 Enforcement and Appeals
4Return considers the circumstances of each case rather than treating every violation as identical.
- 10.1Depending on the incident, the team may issue a warning, remove affected rewards, restrict chat or trading, suspend access to a game mode, temporarily suspend an account or permanently ban an account.
- 10.2Severe violations, including cheating, account theft, deliberate exploitation, serious fraud or repeated attempts to evade enforcement, may result in immediate suspension without a prior warning.
- 10.3Repeated violations may lead to stronger penalties. A player cannot avoid the consequences of an offence by switching characters or accounts.
- 10.4Where multiple accounts are involved in the same scheme, action may extend to the accounts that participated in or benefited from the violation.
- 10.5The team may consider screenshots, recordings, logs, reports and other relevant information when reviewing a case. Reports alone do not automatically establish that a violation occurred.
- 10.6Players who disagree with a penalty may submit an appeal through the official ticket system. Appeals should explain the specific decision being challenged and provide any relevant information.
- 10.7Appeals are reviewed individually. Submitting repeated tickets with no new information, threatening staff or attempting to pressure other team members will not improve the outcome and may result in support restrictions.
- 10.8The team may remove illegally obtained items, currency, points or rewards independently of an account suspension.
- 10.9No player receives immunity from enforcement because they have donated, won tournaments, hold a prominent guild position or have been part of the community for a long time.
§11 Donations, Purchases and Virtual Items
- 11.1Any purchase or donation must be made through the official 4Return channels.
- 11.2The ItemShop is intended for the products and benefits explicitly listed there. A purchase does not grant permission to violate the rules or demand preferential treatment from staff.
- 11.3If a payment is completed but the expected item or currency is not delivered, contact support and provide the transaction details. Do not submit false claims or attempt to obtain the same purchase multiple times through a technical exploit.
- 11.4Deliberate payment fraud, manipulation of payment systems or false chargeback claims may result in restrictions or permanent account action.
- 11.5Refund eligibility is subject to the applicable purchase terms and relevant law. Contact support first if a transaction appears to have failed or an unexpected charge occurred.
- 11.6Virtual items and currencies exist for use within 4Return. They are not a promise of real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real money through authorized game systems.
- 11.7The team may need to adjust, disable or remove virtual content to address bugs, security issues, balance problems or technical changes. Where practical, significant changes will be communicated to players.
§12 Discord and Other Official Platforms
- 12.1Community rules apply to all official 4Return spaces, including Discord, in-game chat and any other platform designated as official.
- 12.2Follow the instructions and topic restrictions of individual channels. Spam, disruptive posting and deliberate misuse of support or suggestion channels may result in content removal or platform restrictions.
- 12.3Do not use official channels to arrange real-money trading, promote cheats, distribute malicious software or coordinate prohibited activities.
- 12.4Do not publish private support conversations, personal data or other sensitive information without authorization.
- 12.5A restriction on one official platform may be accompanied by a restriction on another when the same incident affects the wider 4Return community.
§13 Final Terms
- 13.1These rules cannot list every possible situation. The team may address conduct that clearly undermines fair play, account security, the economy or the safety of the community, even if a specific example is not written here.
- 13.2Any such decision should be based on the circumstances of the incident and the interests of the server, not on personal disagreements with a player.
- 13.34Return may update these rules as new features, game modes or risks arise. Updated rules will be published through official channels.
- 13.4Players are responsible for checking the current version of the rules.
- 13.5Creating or using a 4Return account means agreeing to follow the rules applicable to the game and its official community platforms.
Thank you for being part of 4Return. Play fair, respect the community and help us build a server worth staying on.
